Rupnagar, September 29: The second day of training of all field trainers of district Rupnagar was conducted today to ensure smooth completion of Phase-2 of Census-2027. During the training, the field trainers were given detailed information about the various tasks to be done under Phase-2, the prescribed procedure and their responsibilities.

The training was presided over by Principal Census-cum-Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Shri Aditya Dechalwal and Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Rupnagar Dr. Akshita Gupta. They gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officers and employees to complete the work of Census-2027 with full responsibility and in a proper manner within the stipulated time.

The second day training was given by the Director Census Operation, Punjab, Coordinator for District Rupnagar, Mr. Satya Narayan and Master Trainer, Mr. Satnam Singh. During the training, information was also shared about the various situations that may arise while working at the field level and the procedure to be followed in relation to them.

During the training, field trainers were also trained to ensure that the work to be done by enumerators and supervisors under Phase-2 of Census-2027 is carried out as per the prescribed standards.

Earlier, a two-day training was also conducted on 17th and 18th September 2026. During this, the Coordinator appointed by the Director Census Operation, Punjab for District Rupnagar, Mr. Satya Narayan, Mr. Radhe Raman, Senior Research Officer and Master Trainer Mr. Satnam Singh, provided training on Phase-2 to all SDMs of the district, Deputy Economic and Statistical Advisor-cum-Additional Census Officer Mr. Arun Kumar, all Tehsildars-cum-Census Charge Officers, Karyak Sadhak Officers-cum-Census Charge Officers of Municipal Councils/Nagar Panchayats, Technical Assistants and Census Clerks appointed for the work of Census-2027.

After the completion of the second day of training, further training will be imparted by the field trainers of the district to the enumerators and supervisors working in tehsil and urban areas. The aim of this is to ensure smooth completion of the work of Phase-2 of Census-2027 as per the prescribed procedure, standards and instructions.

The work of Phase-2 of Census-2027 is to be completed from December 1, 2026 to January 4, 2027.
