Deputy Commissioner Holds Special Meeting to Ensure Prompt Resolution of Traders’ Issues **No Pending Complaint Related to Traders; All Previous Complaints Have Been Resolved** **Rupnagar, September 22:** A special meeting with representatives of the trading community was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar, **Shri Aditya Dechalwal**. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various issues related to urban development, problems faced by traders, basic amenities and improvement of markets. During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Shri Aditya Dechalwal listened attentively to the problems, demands and suggestions put forward by representatives of the trading community and discussed the issues on the spot with the concerned officials. He said that the district administration has always been giving priority to resolving genuine problems faced by traders. He clarified that **there is currently no pending complaint related to the trading community in Rupnagar district**, and all complaints received earlier have already been resolved. He said that in the future as well, every genuine issue raised by traders would be addressed promptly and within a stipulated timeframe. During the meeting, detailed discussions were also held with representatives of the trading community regarding the proper and need-based utilization of funds released by the Punjab Government for the welfare of traders and the development of basic amenities in markets. Suggestions regarding the construction of **bathrooms/toilets in markets, improvement of sanitation arrangements and provision of other essential basic facilities** for the convenience of traders and the general public were also discussed. He said that continuous dialogue and better coordination between the administration and the trading community can further accelerate the development of the city. **SSP Rupnagar, S. Maninder Singh**, also discussed issues related to the safety and law-and-order concerns of the trading community during the meeting. He said that the district police is taking necessary measures to ensure a safe environment in markets and commercial establishments, maintain smooth traffic movement and prevent any untoward incident.
