Drivers Encouraged to Follow Road Safety Rules

District Red Cross Organizes Two-Day Road Safety Refresher Training Programme for Drivers

Rupnagar, September 22: As per the directions of Deputy Commissioner-cum-President, District Red Cross Rupnagar, Shri Aditya Dechalwal, the District Red Cross Rupnagar is organizing a Road Safety Refresher Training Programme for drivers as part of its ongoing social welfare activities.

A two-day Road Safety Refresher Training Programme is being conducted for drivers in different batches at the Institute of Automotive and Driving Skills Centre, operating at Government ITI Rupnagar. The objective of the training is to create awareness among drivers about road safety rules, traffic regulations and the precautions that should be taken while driving vehicles.

On this occasion, Pro-President, District Red Cross Rupnagar, Smt. Renrita Dechalwal, visited the training centre. Interacting with the drivers undergoing training, she encouraged them to strictly follow road safety rules and give priority to their own safety as well as the safety of others while driving. She also appealed to them to contribute more towards social welfare activities, help those in need and extend their support to the activities of the District Red Cross.

During the programme, Secretary, District Red Cross Rupnagar, S. Gursohan Singh, provided the trainees with important information regarding First Aid. Similarly, Trainer S. Gurinder Singh provided the drivers with detailed information on road safety in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.

On the occasion, In-charge S. Rupinder Singh, Shri Varun Sharma, Smt. Paramjit Kaur, Ms. Rupinder Kaur and Ms. Priya, along with other staff members, were present.
