Cabinet Minister announces Rs 10 lakh for Ramlila Ground, will do every work of the village on priority basis
Sri Anandpur Sahib, September 23: Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains met the people at Basowal Colony and listened to their problems and difficulties. On this occasion, a large number of residents of the area brought their personal and common problems to the attention of the Cabinet Minister. Harjot Singh Bains listened to the problems of the people seriously and talked to the concerned officials on the spot and got many problems resolved immediately. During this, the people thanked the Cabinet Minister for solving their problems. On this occasion, the Cabinet Minister announced to give Rs. 10 lakh for the Ram Lila Ground, he said that the people will not be allowed to face any kind of problem, the streets and drains of the village will be made.
Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that the main objective of the Punjab government is to save the people from unnecessary hassle in accessing government services and resolving their legitimate problems. He said that so that people do not have to visit government offices repeatedly with their small and big problems, he is personally reaching out to the people and listening to their problems. He said that priority is being given to resolving the problems which can be resolved on the spot immediately.
Harjot Singh Bains said that serving the people is the biggest responsibility in a democracy. He said that the people have elected him as their representative and therefore it is his duty to reach out to the people, listen to their problems and make every possible effort to solve them. He said that he does not consider himself separate from the people, but believes in serving them by becoming a part of the people’s family. He said that reaching out to the people as his own son and brother is the purpose of his work style.
On this occasion, issues related to roads, drinking water, sewage, sanitation, electricity and other basic amenities were also brought to the notice of the Cabinet Minister by the people. Bains directed the officers of the concerned departments to resolve the legitimate problems of the people on priority basis. He said that no negligence of any kind will be tolerated in development works and works related to public welfare and the officers have been asked to solve their problems by maintaining direct contact with the people.
The residents of the area said that the Cabinet Minister himself reached among them, listened to their problems and got them resolved on the spot, which is a great relief to the people. They said that earlier people had to visit offices for many matters, but now representatives are reaching their doorsteps to listen to their problems. People appreciated this initiative taken by Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains and said that this is further strengthening the direct contact between the government and the people.
