League-Stage Matches Conclude in Inter-District School Handball Championships at Rupnagar
Rupnagar, September 23: The league-stage matches of the four-day Under-17 Inter-District School Handball Championships being held at Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Rupnagar, were completed today on the second day of the tournament. Teams from various districts participated enthusiastically, with the young players putting up impressive performances on the court.
Harbans Singh Kandola, Manager, Ambala Board of Education, and Principal Kulwinder Singh, Overall In-charge of the tournament, attended the matches as chief guests. They interacted with the participating players, encouraged them and extended their best wishes for the remaining matches.
Following the completion of the league-stage matches, teams from Amritsar, Rupnagar, Patiala, Amritsar Sports Wing and Faridkot qualified for the knockout stage.
Principal Jagtar Singh Longia informed that the knockout-stage matches will be played from tomorrow.
Ramesh Kumar, Rajwinder Singh, Puneet Singh Lalli, Nirmaljit Singh, Manjinder Singh, Gurjit Singh Bhatti, Davinder Singh, Ravinder Singh, Gurtej Singh and Bhajandeep Kaur, along with other dignitaries and sports organisers, were also present on the occasion.
