Cabinet Minister Harjot Bains sent buses from Kalyanpur and Manguwal under the Chief Minister’s pilgrimage.

Kiratpur Sahib 01 October: Under the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, today from Kalyanpur and Manguwal, Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains flagged off buses for elderly devotees to visit religious places. A large number of villagers, devotees and local leaders were present on this occasion. Before flagging off the buses, the devotees took blessings of Guru Sahib and prayed for the success of the journey.
Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that the land of Punjab is a land touched by the feet of Gurus, saints and great people and the religious faith of the people here is very deep. He said that it is our duty to make the elderly visit Gurdwaras and other holy religious places. Through the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, the government is giving the opportunity to the devotees to visit the pilgrimage places.
He said that many elderly devotees are unable to visit religious places as per their wish due to financial or health reasons. This scheme is becoming a means for such devotees to fulfill their long-standing religious desire. He said that the Punjab government is taking such initiatives while respecting the religious sentiments of the people of the state.
Harjot Singh Bains, while interacting with the senior citizens going on the Yatra, wished them a pleasant and safe journey. He said that special care should be taken to cater to the needs of the devotees during the Yatra and no shortage should be allowed in the arrangements. He wished the senior citizens travelling in the buses and asked them to visit the Gurdwaras and pray for the progress of their families and Punjab.
On this occasion, the elders and villagers going on the pilgrimage thanked the Punjab Government and Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains. They said that through the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, they are getting the opportunity to visit the holy shrines. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and enthusiasm when the buses departed and the villagers happily sent off the pilgrims.
