‘No Drone’ and ‘No Fly’ zones to be imposed in Sri Anandpur Sahib on October 6 in view of President’s visit

Rupnagar, October 1 : In view of the arrival of the President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, at Dashmesh Marshal Academy, Sri Anandpur Sahib on October 6, 2026 and her subsequent visit to Mata Sri Naina Devi Temple, Himachal Pradesh, in order to ensure the security of the President and law and order, District Magistrate Rupnagar, Mr. Aditya Dechalwal has declared a ‘No Drone Zone’ and ‘No Fly Zone’ in the area of ​​Sri Anandpur Sahib Sub-Division on October 6.

The order has been issued by the District Magistrate in exercise of powers vested in him under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Code, 2023. According to the orders, the use of drones and other flying devices in the designated area of ​​Sri Anandpur Sahib will be prohibited for security reasons.

Only Senior Superintendent of Police, Rupnagar and the Armed Forces will be exempted from these orders. The orders have come into force with immediate effect and will remain in force till 6th October 2026.
