MLA Dinesh Chadha Visits Ghanauli Grain Market, Reviews Paddy Procurement Arrangements

Interacts with farmers and commission agents to assess procurement arrangements and address concerns

Rupnagar, October 5: Rupnagar MLA Advocate Dinesh Chadha visited the Ghanauli Grain Market and interacted with farmers and commission agents to take stock of the ongoing procurement arrangements. During the visit, he gathered information about the difficulties being faced by farmers while bringing and selling their produce at the market.

Speaking with farmers and commission agents, MLA Dinesh Chadha said that the Punjab Government was making all necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted procurement of farmers’ produce. He said that procurement arrangements at grain markets were being continuously monitored so that farmers did not face any inconvenience, and genuine issues raised by them would be resolved on priority.

He said that farmers are the backbone of Punjab’s economy and their hard work has played a vital role in strengthening the agricultural system of the state. Therefore, the government’s primary objective is to ensure that farmers face no difficulties from the time they bring their produce to the market until its procurement and payment.

The MLA patiently listened to the concerns and suggestions of farmers and commission agents present at the market and also obtained necessary information regarding the arrangements. He said that every possible effort would be made to further streamline the functioning of the grain market through continuous coordination with farmers and commission agents.

Chadha emphasized that regular interaction with farmers and commission agents would help identify and resolve issues promptly and ensure better arrangements at the market.

On the occasion, Market Committee Chairman Bhag Singh Madan, Block Samiti Chairman Malkit Singh Bhangoo, Chairman Shiv Kumar Lalpura, Sarpanch Parminder Singh Bala, Advocate Vikas, President Sandeep Prajapat, Balbir Chaudhary Chadewal, Samiti Member Lalit Dakala, Jaspal Singh Fauji, Kuldeep Singh Sarpanch, Vicky Ghanauli, Narinder Singh Nindi, Paramjit Pamma and Gurmukh Singh Pappi, Arhtiya and Sarpanch Lodhi Majra, along with other dignitaries and farmers, were present.
