Players Participating in Sports Are Becoming an Inspiration for Others: Advocate Dinesh Chadha

Khedan Watan Punjab Season-4 District-Level Tournament Concludes Successfully in Rupnagar

Rupnagar, October 5: The district-level tournament of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan Season-4 concluded successfully today. On the final day of the tournament, prizes were distributed by Rupnagar MLA Advocate Dinesh Chadha to the players who emerged victorious after delivering outstanding performances in various sporting events.

Addressing the gathering, Advocate Dinesh Chadha said that the players participating enthusiastically in Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan are not only showcasing their talent but are also becoming a source of inspiration for others.

He said that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, sports are being given special priority among various initiatives aimed at making Punjab a ‘Rangla Punjab’ once again. He said the increasing participation of players in every season of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan reflects the growing enthusiasm for sports across the state.

MLA Chadha said that sports encourage young people to lead healthy and disciplined lives while developing team spirit, hard work, patience and determination to succeed. Congratulating the winning players, he encouraged them to work even harder in the future and bring laurels to Rupnagar district and Punjab.

Among those present on the occasion were Municipal Council Rupnagar President Inderpal Singh Raju Satyal, Zila Parishad Vice-Chairman Des Raj Saini, Councillor Harwinder Singh Sonu, Chairman Bhag Singh Madan and Youth President Chetan Kalia, along with other prominent personalities.

The district-level competitions were organised under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Aditya Dechalwal and the supervision of District Sports Officer Jagjivan Singh Gill. Players from different age groups participated enthusiastically in the competitions.

 

Shooting Competition Results

In the 14-year age category Air Rifle event, Tanveer Singh secured first place, Brahmjot Singh finished second and Hargobind Singh secured third place.

In the 17-year girls’ Air Rifle category, Mehakdeep Kaur secured first place, Jashanpreet Kaur finished second and Vipakshi Puri secured third place.

In the 17-year boys’ Air Rifle category, Ashwajit Singh secured first place, Gurnoor Singh finished second and Akshveer Singh secured third place.

In the 21-year Air Rifle category, Dilpreet Singh secured first place, Avneet Singh finished second and Aryaveer Singh secured third place.

In the 14-year boys’ Air Pistol category, Ekam Veer secured first place and Vivaan Aggarwal finished second.

In the 14-year girls’ Air Pistol category, Saanvi Sharma secured first place and Aaliya Dhillon finished second.

In the 17-year Air Pistol category, Kulveer Singh secured first place, Sahibjot Singh finished second and Arshdeep Singh secured third place.

In the 17-year girls’ Air Pistol category, Avneet Kaur Deol secured first place, Prabhleen Kaur finished second and Lovepreet Kaur secured third place.

In the 21-year Air Pistol category, Jaskaran Singh secured first place, Pradeep Singh finished second and Arshpreet Singh secured third place.

In the 21-year girls’ Air Pistol category, Naunidh Kaur secured first place, Gurjot Kaur finished second and Manjinder Kaur secured third place.

In the 21–30 years Air Rifle category, Harjot Singh secured first place and Vaibhav Rajouria finished second.

In the 41–50 years Air Rifle category, Dinesh Kumar Saini secured first place, Jaswinder Singh finished second and Amrit Pal Singh secured third place.

Contributions to the Successful Organisation

Several officials, coaches, lecturers and staff members made important contributions to the successful conduct of the district-level competitions.
