₹42.50 Crore Spent to Strengthen Healthcare Facilities at Civil Hospital During Present Government’s Tenure
New Facilitation Centre to Provide Better and More Efficient Healthcare Services to Patients
Rupnagar, October 5: Rupnagar MLA Advocate Dinesh Chadha today inaugurated a new Facilitation Centre at Civil Hospital Rupnagar aimed at providing patients with better, more organised and easily accessible information and healthcare services.
Speaking at the inauguration, MLA Dinesh Chadha said that the main objective of the Facilitation Centre is to provide patients visiting the hospital with information and assistance regarding various healthcare services in a systematic and convenient manner.
He said that continuous efforts are being made to expand and modernise healthcare facilities at the hospital so that residents can access better healthcare services closer to home.
On the occasion, MLA Dinesh Chadha, along with Civil Surgeon Rupnagar Dr. Vivek Kataria and officials of the Health Department, visited various departments of the hospital. He reviewed the functioning of healthcare services and took information about the facilities being provided to patients.
The MLA also inspected the IPHL Lab, ICU and the Methadone Maintenance Therapy Clinic established at the De-Addiction Centre, along with other healthcare facilities. He interacted with concerned officials and medical staff to obtain information about the services available in these departments, treatment being provided to patients and the requirements of the hospital.
₹42.50 Crore Spent on Strengthening Hospital Facilities
Providing details, MLA Dinesh Chadha said that approximately ₹42.50 crore has been spent during the tenure of the present government on various development works and strengthening healthcare facilities at Civil Hospital Rupnagar.
He said that the funds have been utilised for major repair and renovation works, whitewashing, roads and interlocking tiles, the Facilitation Centre, IPHL Lab, Critical Care Block, ultrasound machine, renovation of toilets, ICU equipment, dialysis unit, lift machine and digital X-ray facilities, among several other important healthcare improvements.
He said that the expansion of modern healthcare facilities at Civil Hospital Rupnagar has provided significant benefits to residents of the area. Strengthening government healthcare institutions remains a major priority so that people do not have to travel long distances to access quality medical services.
Focus on Quality Healthcare Services
MLA Dinesh Chadha appreciated the doctors, paramedical staff and other employees of the Health Department for their hard work and dedication. He said that their commitment enables the hospital to provide healthcare services to a large number of patients every day.
He stressed the need to further improve the quality of healthcare services and ensure access to quality medical facilities for every person in need.
