District level competitions continue on the fourth day of Khedan Watan Punjab
Rupnagar, October 1 : The district level sports competitions being conducted under the Season-4 of Sports Homeland Punjab continued with full enthusiasm on the fourth day today. These sports competitions are being conducted under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Aditya Dechalwal. Along with children, veteran players also participated in these competitions with great enthusiasm today.
During these competitions being conducted under the supervision of District Sports Officer Jagjivan Singh Gill, in the 14-year-old boys’ chess competition today, Ahir Armaan won first place, Raghav Amar Chaudhary won second place and Manas Goyal won third place. In the girls’ competition of the same age group, Chahat Verma won first place, Kavya Chaudhary won second place and Anandi won third place.

In the boys’ chess competition in the 17-year-old age group, Saket Bhalla won first place, while Sehzad Singh Saini and Akshay June won second and third places respectively. In the girls’ competition in the same age group, Prabhkirat Kaur won first, Anushka Kumari won second and Ranjot Kaur won third place.
In the boys’ competition in the 21-year age group, Harsahaj Singh won the first position, while Harshal Amar Chaudhary and Piyush Patel won the second and third positions respectively. In the girls’ competition in the same age group, Mehakpreet Kaur won the first, Prabhnur Kaur the second and Navpreet Kaur the third.
In the 31 to 40 age group, Arvinder Singh won first place, Gagandeep Singh won second place and Navjot Singh won third place. In the 41 to 50 age group, Rajat Kumar won first place, Amar Ramesh Roy Chaudhary won second place and Sumit Ahuja won third place. In the women’s category, Sonia won first place, Anu won second place and Baljinder Kaur won third place.
In the men’s age group of 51 to 60 years, Manish Bhalla won first, Gurcharan Singh won second and Surinder Singh won third place. In the 61 to 70 years age group, Ravinderpal won first, Palvinder Singh won second and Arun Kumar won third place.
The special thing about these competitions was that Jasvir Singh Garhi, the constituency in-charge of Aam Aadmi Party from Sri Chamkaur Sahib, also participated in the chess competitions and secured fourth place in his age group.

Cheema, Senior Assistant Nishu Goyal, Harinder Singh, Sheel Bhagat, Vandana, Lovejit Singh Kang, Randhir Singh, Amarjit Singh, Gurjinder Singh Cheema, Sushil Kumar, Jagroop Singh, Inderjit Singh, Harvinder Kaur, Amrit Kaur, Ravinder Kaur, Pinkash Dhiman, Karandeep, Darpal Singh, Lecturer Rabinder Singh Rabbi, Dharminder Singh Bhangu, Naresh Rajouria, Ritu Bala, Harinder Singh, Balwinder Singh Miyanpur, Navdeep Singh, Sunita Rani, Satnam Singh, Amrit Kaur, Amandeep Singh Duirali, Kulwant Singh Kotla Nihang, Paramjit Singh Ratangarh, Rajveer Singh, Gurmeet Singh etc. are making significant contributions to the successful conduct of these sports competitions. Harpreet Kaur and Rabinder Singh Rabbi conducted the stage well.
