District level trials for state level competitions of 'Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan-2026' from October 5
Rupnagar, October 1 : District level trials are being started from October 5, 2026 to select the team of Rupnagar district to participate in the state level competitions of ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan-2026’ being organized by the Sports Department of the Punjab Government.
Giving information in this regard, District Sports Officer S. Jagjivan Singh Gill said that trials of Wushu, Karate, Horse Riding, Baseball, Cycling, Rugby, Taekwondo, Gymnastics, Rowing, Kayaking and Canoeing will be conducted on October 5. Boys and girls of Under-14, Under-17 and Under-21 age groups and men and women of 21-30 and 31-40 age groups will be able to participate in these trials.
He said that all the trials will start at 9:00 am at Nehru Stadium, Rupnagar. For information regarding Wushu, Karate, Horse Riding, Baseball, Cycling, Rugby, Taekwondo and Gymnastics, one can contact the in-charge Mr. Naresh Rajorian, Swimming Coach, Mobile No. 9316201636. Similarly, the in-charge of Rowing, Mr. Gurjinder Singh Cheema can be contacted on Mobile No. 9815640496 and for Kayaking and Canoeing, mobile No. 6283549158 .
The District Sports Officer said that all the players participating in the trials must be registered on the official portal of ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan’. The players must bring Aadhaar card, birth certificate, bank account copy and two passport size photographs with them.
He said that only those players who are permanent residents of the respective district or are studying or employed in the respective district can participate in the trials.
S. Jagjivan Singh Gill appealed to all the players of the district to participate actively in these trials and showcase their sports talent, so that the name of the district can be brought to light by representing Rupnagar district in state level competitions.
