District level competitions of 2026 Season-4 of Khedan Watan Punjab 2026 will start from September 28

Rupnagar, September 23: The Sports Department of the Punjab Government and the District Administration Rupnagar are putting the finishing touches on the preparations for the district level sports competitions under the ‘Khedan Watan Punjab 2026’ Season-4. These district level sports competitions will be held from September 28 to October 05, 2026 at 12 different selected sports venues in the district.

Disclosing this information, District Sports Officer Rupnagar S. Jagjivan Singh Gill said that necessary arrangements are being made at all the sports venues with the aim of providing a suitable platform to the emerging players of the district to showcase their sports talent. He said that the details of the designated sports venues and in-charges for various sports are as follows.

Giving information about the sports venues, the District Sports Officer said that competitions in basketball, athletics, boxing, football, swimming, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi (National Style) will be held at Nehru Stadium Rupnagar. The in-charge of these competitions is S. Harvinder Singh and his mobile number is 94782-58751. Competitions in Gatka, softball, kick boxing, Kabaddi (Circle Style), Volleyball (Smashing/Shooting), Chess and Tennis Ball Cricket will be held at Government Polytechnic College Rupnagar. District Sports Officer S. Jagjivan Singh Gill said that ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan’ is an important initiative to connect the youth of Punjab with sports and hone their sports talent. He said that during the district level competitions, the players will get an opportunity to showcase their talent as well as strengthen their preparation for high-level sports competitions.

He appealed to all the players and sports lovers of the district to participate actively in these competitions and encourage the players. He said that such sports competitions play an important role in connecting the youth with sports and instilling discipline, team spirit and a healthy lifestyle in them.

He said that players willing to participate in these sports competitions can register themselves through the given QR code or official portal. He appealed to the players to register on time and participate in the competitions as per the designated sports venue and time.
