Kirtan celebrations to be held in the district from November 1 dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji – Deputy Commissioner
Rupnagar, October 28: Kirtan celebrations will be held in Rupnagar district from November 1 dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at the places where Guru Sahib Ji touched his feet, regarding the preparations for which Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Shri Varjit Walia held a meeting with the top officials of the district.
Presiding over the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner informed that Kirtan celebrations will be held on 01 November 2025 at Gurdwara Patshahi Nauvin Dugri Kotli, on 02 November at Gurdwara Baba Gurditta Ji Kiratpur Sahib, on 08 November at Gurdwara Singh Sabha Rupnagar, on 09 November at Gurdwara Sri Bhora Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib and on 09 November at Gurdwara Manji Sahib Bharatgarh.
The Deputy Commissioner told the top officials of the district that while the state government has made adequate and extensive arrangements to celebrate this big event in a befitting manner, it is also the responsibility of the district officials to perform their duty with a spirit of service and devotion.
Mr. Varjit Walia instructed the officials to provide services to the congregation in these Kirtan celebrations dedicated to the martyrdom celebrations and said that negligence in any arrangements will not be tolerated during these celebrations.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (C) Chandrajyoti Singh, Assistant Commissioner IAS Abhimanyu Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Pooja Sial Grewal, SP Arvind Meena, Assistant Commissioner (G) Arvinderpal Singh Somal, SDM Rupnagar Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, SDM Sri Chamkaur Sahib Amrik Singh Sidhu, SDM Sri Anandpur Sahib Jaspreet Singh and other senior officials were present.
