Rupnagar, August 4 : As per the guidelines of District Education Officer (Secondary Education) Rupnagar Shri Prem Kumar Mittal and under the supervision of District Nodal Officer of Business Blaster S. Prabhjit Singh and Principal of Government Polytechnic College Rupnagar Dr. Navneet Walia, under the Business Blaster Program, district level training of Business Blaster in-charges of Class XI of Government Senior Secondary Schools of the district began today at Government Polytechnic College Rupnagar.
The training was inaugurated by District Nodal Officer (Business Blaster) S. Prabhjit Singh. He said that the main objective of the Business Blaster program is to develop entrepreneurial mindset among the students and prepare them as job creators instead of job seekers. He said that the students are being provided with necessary guidance to develop their business ideas, work with team spirit and give them practical form.
He said that the aim of this training is to provide practical information to the school in-charges regarding the program outline, various activities and effective guidance to the students. He appealed to all the school in-charges to implement this program with full dedication and commitment.
On this occasion, District Education Officer (Secondary Education) Rupnagar Shri Prem Kumar Mittal made a special visit to the training venue, reviewed the arrangements and held discussions with the master trainers and school in-charges.
He said that the Business Blaster Program is an important initiative towards developing entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, creativity, self-confidence and business skills among students. Through this program, students get opportunities to implement their new business ideas, develop a sense of teamwork and acquire the necessary skills for self-employment or starting their own business in the future.
District Education Officer Mr. Prem Kumar Mittal informed that FDDI, Chandigarh Campus is giving direct admission opportunity to 12th pass students in various courses of Bachelor of Design for the session-2026. He said that students can take admission in other courses including Fashion Design and Footwear Design and Development.
He said that for eligible students, 100 percent fee waiver and free education facility is also available under Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Portal Scholarship Scheme. He appealed to the school in-charges to inform maximum students about this so that eligible students can take advantage of this opportunity.
He motivated the master trainers and school in-charges to effectively implement the Business Blaster program at the school level, so that maximum students can get the benefits of this scheme.
The Business Blaster in-charges of class XI of various government senior secondary schools of the district participated in the training. The master trainers gave detailed information about the various activities of the Business Blaster program, students’ business ideas, entrepreneurial skills and effective implementation of the program at the school level.
On this occasion, Master Trainers Mr. Mukesh Kumar (Sri Anandpur Sahib), Mrs. Gurdeep Kaur (Sri Chamkaur Sahib), Mr. Satnam Singh (Jhajj), Mr. Hardeep Singh (Kiratpur Sahib), Mr. Shiv Shankar Sharma (Mianpur), Mrs. Harjit Kaur (Morinda), Mr. Daljit Singh (Nangal), Mrs. Karamjit Kaur (Rupnagar-2), Mr. Rohit Kumar (Takhtgarh) and Mrs. Lalit Kumari (Salaura) performed their services as resource persons.
Registration and refreshments were arranged by SS Master Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, while media coverage and technical support were provided by District Media Coordinator Mr. Dishant Mehta.
On this occasion HOD (Mechanical) Mr. Parminder Singh Saini, HOD (Electrical) Mr. Rajesh Kumar Jassi, HOD (IT) Mr. Om Upkar Singh, Lecturer Mr. Vinod Sharma and Academic Incharge Mrs. Simranjit Kaur were specially present.
It is noteworthy that this training for Class XI Business Blaster Incharges has been conducted on August 4, while the district level training for Class XII Business Blaster Incharges will be conducted on August 5, 2026 at the same venue.
