Free glasses and medicines were distributed to the needy after checking their eyes.
Sri Anandpur Sahib 30 July: As per the instructions of the Punjab Government and under the leadership of Civil Surgeon Rupnagar Dr. Bobby Ghulaty, a special medical camp was organized at village Lodipur for free eye check-up. During the camp, people were made aware about eye care along with providing health services.
Giving information in this regard, SI Sikander Singh said that the Punjab government is organizing free medical camps through the health department to provide better health facilities to the people near their homes. Under this series, this camp was organized at village Lodipur under the leadership of SMO Dr. Surjit Singh.
During the camp, Ophthalmic Officer Kusmalta checked the eyes and vision of the people present. Free glasses were also distributed to the people as per their requirement. He informed the people about proper eye care, cleanliness and timely medical advice in case of eye related problems.
On this occasion, the team of AAK Agampur also conducted blood pressure and sugar tests of the people and provided free medicines as per the requirement. CHO Rano, Naresh Kumar, Rajni Devi, Jasvir Kaur and other health workers including ASHA workers were present in the camp.
