PAU-KVK Ropar organizes district level awareness camp on stubble management

Rupnagar, October 15: PAU-Krishi  Vigyan Kendra Ropar under the guidance of Punjab Agricultural University and ICAR Attari Zone-1 Ludhiana successfully organized a district level awareness camp on stubble management at village Bhagomajra today. More than 110 farmers from Bhagomajra, Chaklan, Lohari, Sihomajra and Road Majra villages participated in this camp.
The importance of in-situ crop residue management was discussed in detail in this camp. Associate Director (Training) Dr. Satbir Singh gave information about the current status of in-situ and ex-situ management in the district and gave detailed information about the options available to the farmers.

Dr. Aparna (Animal Husbandry Science), Dr. Ankurdeep Preeti (Agroforestry) and Dr. Jagmanjot Singh (Soil Science) shared detailed information about the new developments in their respective departments.
The special attraction of the event was the exhibition and sales counter, where agricultural literature, high quality seeds and animal nutrition products were displayed and sold. This initiative was taken to provide farmers with access to information and commodities essential for modern agriculture. The event ended with a vote of thanks by the Sarpanches of the participating villages.
