Kiratpur Sahib, October 22: S. Harjot Singh Bains, Cabinet Minister, Education and Information and Public Relations Department, Punjab, has congratulated the entire humanity on the occasion of Baba Vishwakarma Day, the founder of Shilpakala. Lord Vishwakarma has a very big role in the creation of the universe. Baba Vishwakarma Ji has given new direction to the workers and craftsmen.
S. Harjot Singh Bains, Cabinet Minister, in a message issued to the residents of his Vidhan Sabha constituency Sri Anandpur Sahib, has said that he is going to different states of the country to invite different states, Chief Ministers, prominent religious figures of the country, intellectuals for the 350th martyrdom celebrations of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. He said that the martyrdom day celebrations of the ninth guru of India, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, are being organized by the Punjab government with great devotion and respect. The preparations for which have begun.
Sharing information, the Cabinet Minister said that the Mann government has given big projects for many neglected villages of the constituency. He said that villages like Sirsa Nangal, Majri, Alowal, Avankot, Himmatpur, Kharota and Aspur were neglected from development for many years, now the Mann government has decided to change the fate and image of these villages. He said that a new bridge will be built on the old canal at a cost of Rs. 10 crore, which will make the traffic in the area smooth and give a new momentum to industry and trade.
S. Bains said that apart from this, the work of whitening the road from Ghanoli to Majri, Alowal, Avankot, Himmatpur, Kharota and Bara Pind with an 18 feet width is being done at a cost of Rs. 9.25 crore. This road will be about 16-17 km long, which will directly connect the villages with the main road. These projects will be ready at a cost of Rs. 20 crore. The Cabinet Minister said that these development projects will change both the image and destiny of this area. He said that the work of beautification of the ground at Sirsa Nangal is also in progress.
While informing the residents of the constituency, S. Bains said that in the next few days he will visit religious places across the country and request them to participate in the 350th centenary celebrations of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. He said that prominent religious figures Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji and Lokesh Muni Ji are reaching Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 23, while many other saints and Chief Ministers of various states are also being invited. He said that a comprehensive cleanliness drive will be started in Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 01 and every corner of the Guru Nagari will be cleaned.
