Education Minister Meets Government School Students Visiting Virasat-e-Khalsa
Learns about the impact of education reforms at the grassroots level
Sri Anandpur Sahib, September 26: Punjab Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains today had an unexpected interaction with students of PM SHRI Government High School, Chachoki, Phagwara, who had arrived at Virasat-e-Khalsa for an educational visit.
While leaving Virasat-e-Khalsa due to his official engagements, the Education Minister noticed around 400 school students who had come to visit the heritage museum. Seeing the students, Mr. Bains immediately approached them and interacted with them, enquiring about their studies, school and overall learning experience.
During the interaction, the Education Minister asked the students about the facilities available at their school, the academic environment and the changes they had witnessed in the school’s infrastructure. The students said that they recognized their Education Minister and were aware of the improvements being undertaken by the Punjab Government in government schools. They shared that they were also benefiting from these initiatives at their school.
The students further said that improved facilities and a better educational environment had encouraged them to take greater interest in their studies.
Interacting with the students, S. Harjot Singh Bains encouraged them to remain focused on their studies and move forward with dedication and hard work. He said that the primary objective of education reforms was to provide students with a better environment for quality education.
He said that continuous efforts were being made to strengthen infrastructure in government schools, provide modern facilities and ensure quality education for students.
The Education Minister said that the real impact of any education reform could be assessed through feedback received from students and teachers at the grassroots level. He said that he regularly interacted directly with students and teachers to understand their requirements and receive their suggestions.
Mr. Bains said that the feedback shared by the students regarding improvements in their school environment indicated that the implementation of education reforms at the school level was being continuously strengthened.
The students visiting Virasat-e-Khalsa also described their interaction with the Education Minister as a memorable experience. They said that the Minister personally approaching them, interacting with them and enquiring about their school was an encouraging moment for them.
Mr. Bains extended his best wishes to the students and encouraged them to learn about the history and heritage showcased at Virasat-e-Khalsa while also adopting hard work, discipline and good values in their lives.
