Drugs Awareness Seminar Organized by DLSA at District Jail Rupnagar
Rupnagar, September 26: On the instructions of Member Secretary Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar and under the guidance of Incharge District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Rupnagar, Mr. Mohit Bansal, an awareness seminar on drugs was organized at District Jail Rupnagar. This seminar was organized in collaboration with Senior Citizen Welfare Association Kotla Nihang.
On this occasion, CGM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Rupnagar Mrs. Amandeep Kaur made the prisoners aware about the harm of drugs in detail. She said that drugs not only destroy the health of the individual but also destroy the family and social life. It is everyone’s responsibility to stay away from drugs and make the society healthy.
During this seminar, the prisoners were motivated to live a drug-free life by presenting the play ‘Jago’ under the leadership of Kranti Kala Manch Ropar Avinder Raju.
