Sri Anandpur Sahib, November 03: Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has brought cheers to the playgrounds of Punjab again. Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains has made a special effort to encourage the students of government schools towards sports. He has declared government schools as the nursery of players, from where ready players compete in the country.
The second day of the 45th District Level Primary School Games was inaugurated by Halka Coordinator Kamikkar Singh Dadhi at the local Sri Dashmesh Martial Art Academy. District Education Officer Primary Shamsher Singh and Education Coordinator Lecturer Daya Singh were specially present on the occasion.
On this occasion, Kamikkar Singh Dadhi Halka Coordinator said that the Punjab government is making special efforts to raise the level of sports and while continuous sports are being organized in the homeland of Punjab, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains is also building good sports grounds in the schools of Punjab. Along with good training, sports equipment is being provided to the students so that the students can prepare well and bring glory to Punjab at the national and international level.
During this, the stage was conducted well by Block Primary Education Officer Manjit Singh Mavi and Maninder Rana. Giving information about the sports results of the second day, Block Primary Education Officer Manjit Singh Mavi said that in the handball boys’ category, Jhajj Block stood first while Ropar 2 stood second, in the handball girls’ category, Ropar 2 stood first while Morinda stood second, in the hockey boys’ category, Sri Anandpur Sahib stood first and Salora Block stood second, in the gymnastics girls’ rhythmic team competition, Kiratpur Sahib Block stood first, Jhajj Block stood second and Ropar 2 stood third, along with this he said that today matches of girls’ and boys’ Kabaddi National Style, Khokho etc. were also held.
