One-day training camp on natural farming organized at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Ropar

Rupnagar, October 13: Under the leadership of the Director of Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Ropar in collaboration with the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Ropar, organized a training camp today under the “National Mission on Natural Farming”. 50 farmers and farmer women from different areas of the district participated enthusiastically. This is the fifth batch of farmers who successfully participated in the series of training programs being run under the “National Mission on Natural Farming”.

Associate Director (Training), KVK Ropar Dr. Satbir Singh welcomed all the participants wholeheartedly. He gave detailed information about the objective and importance of the “National Mission on Natural Farming” and said that natural farming improves soil and human health. He appealed to the farmers to start practicing natural farming in their home gardens.

Assistant Professor (Plant Protection) Dr. Urvi Sharma briefed the trainees about the principles, methods and importance of natural farming. He elaborated on the process of preparing natural solutions like Jiv Amrit, Bees Amrit, Neem Aster, Agni Aster, Brahm Aster and Khatti Lassi and their uses in an experimental manner. Literature related to natural farming was also distributed among the participants.
