Punjab government will make more efforts to promote religious tourism - Harjot BainsSri Anandpur Sahib 08 October : Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann has dedicated the entire nation to the memorial of Amar Shaheed Bhai Jaita Ji, which was built in Sri Anandpur Sahib on October 5. Which has been opened for the congregation/devotees and the devotees coming to Sri Anandpur Sahib are now very excited to see the Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial along with the Virasat-e-Khalsa Museum. With this, the arrival of devotees in Guru Nagri is increasing and religious tourism is flourishing.
This was revealed by S. Harjot Singh Bains, Education and Information and Public Relations Department, Punjab. He said that the Punjab government is celebrating the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji with great devotion. Earlier, the Chief Minister, along with dedicating the Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial, has also started the work of the heritage path. Now a large number of devotees are reaching to see the Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial and the devotees are praising the Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial.

S. Bains said that this memorial has been prepared in two parts. The building has been constructed in the first part at a cost of about Rs. 17 crore. He said that in the second part, five exhibition galleries have been prepared at a cost of about Rs. 3 crore, which have now been dedicated to humanity. He said that the Punjab government is making efforts to promote religious tourism and devotees are standing in queues to see the Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial.
S. Bains said that on entering the memorial, information about the memorial is being given to the visitors through models and videos. The galleries depict historical moments like Sikh Gurus, Bhai Jaita Ji’s ancestors’ relationship with the Gurus, oppression of Kashmiri Pandits, martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Bhai Jaita Ji bringing the Guru’s head to Sri Anandpur Sahib, offering the head to the child Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the title of “Rangrete Guru Ke Bete”, creation of Khalsa Panth and Bhai Jaita Ji’s participation in the wars.

The Cabinet Minister said that the last gallery depicts the entire life journey of Bhai Jaita Ji through 3D animation. Apart from this, gift shops and sites related to Punjab tourism have also been prepared for the convenience of the devotees. He said that this memorial project has been successfully prepared with the support of the Punjab Government where now the influx of devotees is continuously increasing, this will further promote trade and business in Sri Anandpur Sahib.
