4G, new fifth plan and launch of Green India campaign
Ropar, October 1 – Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) celebrated its 25th Silver Jubilee today on the occasion of its foundation day (October 1, 2000). All BSNL employees from Ropar, Nangal, Anandpur Sahib, Morinda, Kurali and Nurpur Bedi attended the function.
The chief guests of the function were Mr. Ritesh (Chief Manager, NFL Nangal) and Mr. Seemint Pal, DGM, Shreyans Industries Ropar and shared their views.
On this occasion, BSNL Ropar DGM Talwinder Singh said that BSNL has now completely upgraded all the towers with India’s own 4G technology. It has been developed in India in collaboration with BSNL and Tejas Networks.
He said that only four countries in the world have their own 4G technology and India is now moving towards becoming self-sufficient through BSNL.
At the event, BSNL launched a new plan 625, in which customers will get the facility of high-speed internet service of up to 75 Mbps, unlimited data and free online viewing of 550 TV channels. Along with this, Wi-Fi roaming service has also been launched, through which customers will be able to use their home Wi-Fi at any other BSNL network location for free. A toll-free booking number 1800-4444 has also been issued for customers, where booking can also be done through mobile and WhatsApp.
On this occasion, a big road show was organized in the entire city of Ropar in collaboration with BSNL TIP partners. There were also beautiful presentations of cultural and colorful programs by the employees and children.
A tree was also planted by the Chief Guest and BSNL DGM Ropar under the Green India campaign.
The DGM also indicated that in the future, the focus will be on increasing revenue and adopting new technology. Also, services like Internet Leased Line, PRI, SIP and FTTH are available at very competitive rates for the institutions.
