Sri Chamkaur Sahib, September 24: Under the chairmanship of Mr. Amrik Singh Sidhu, PCS. SDM, a stubble management camp was organized in Bajidpur, one of the hot spot villages of Sub Division Sri Chamkaur Sahib.
On this occasion, SDM, Sri Chamkaur Sahib motivated the farmers of the villages not to burn stubble because doing so causes damage to the fields, pollutes the environment and also causes a lot of problems to the passers-by coming on the roads. Therefore, the stubble should be spread in the fields because there are many benefits of ploughing stubble in the fields and the yield of the fields also increases.
He said that apart from this, you can also get bales prepared from balers. On the occasion, it was also appealed that paddy should be harvested on time and paddy with high moisture should not be brought to the market. So that there is no problem to face. On this occasion, Agriculture Officer, Sri Chamkaur Sahib Representative Punjab Pollution Control Board, Rupnagar and other officers/employees were present.
