Deputy Commissioner checked various offices
Rupnagar, January 28: Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Mr. Aditya Dachalwal today conducted a surprise check of various offices at the District Administrative Complex.
The Deputy Commissioner visited various departments including Sewa Kendra, Saanjh Kendra, Aam Aadmi Clinic located at the District Administrative Complex and instructed the heads of all departments not to keep office work pending at any level and to reach the office on time every day.
He said that people coming to government offices for their work should be listened to on priority basis and their problems should be resolved on priority. He said that surprise checking of any department can be done at any time, therefore all types of documents, files and other works should be kept updated.
Mr. Aditya Dachalwal said that under the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann, a zero tolerance policy towards corruption has been adopted and if any government officer or employee adopts any kind of corrupt practices, strict action will be taken against him.
The Deputy Commissioner told the officials that the district administration is committed to doing the work of the people on priority basis, therefore, it should be ensured that the benefits of government schemes are extended to the common people at the grassroots level.
