High-risk migrant pregnant woman gives birth to 2 healthy twins

Kiratpur Sahib, August 25 : The Punjab government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and under the leadership of Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh is committed to providing better health facilities to every citizen of the state. Under the guidance of S. Harjot Singh Bains, Cabinet Minister Punjab, the Health Department celebrated a special vaccination week, which set a new record.

Senior Medical Officer In-charge Dr. Jangjit Singh said that under the instructions of Civil Surgeon Rupnagar Dr. Balwinder Kaur and under the leadership of District Vaccination Officer Dr. Navroop Kaur, a total of 9 camps were organized by the team of PHC Kiratpur Sahib from August 18 to 23.
During the vaccination week, where the target of 31 children was set, the target was exceeded by vaccinating 56 children and 10 pregnant women free of cost. These camps were organized in slum areas and kilns including Lang Mazari, Sadhewal, Gran, Ganaru, Lodhipur, Dana Mandi, Lohad Khad, C.D. Rajnagar and Shivalik Avenue. During this, vaccines were provided to the people to protect them from 11 deadly diseases including measles and rubella.
Dr. Jangjit Singh said that the main objective of this campaign was that no child or pregnant woman should be deprived of vaccination. He appealed to the people to take maximum benefit of these camps organized by the Health Department.
