Rupnagar, November 07: Under the guidance of the Director of Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana and in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ropar, a one-day training camp on natural farming was organized today under the “National Mission on Natural Farming”.
50 farmers and farmer women from different areas of the district participated in this training camp. This was the eleventh batch of the series of training programs being conducted under the “National Mission on Natural Farming”.
The program was organized under the supervision of Associate Director (Training) KVK Ropar Dr. Satbir Singh, who welcomed the trainees and informed them about the objective of the “National Mission on Natural Farming”.
He said that the mission aims to promote sustainable and eco-friendly farming systems that reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, maintain soil health and ensure food security. He appealed to the farmers to adopt natural farming, which will reduce the cost of farming and protect the environment and human health.
