MLA Advocate Dinesh Chadha presents cheques to the Panchayats of Rupnagar Block for various development works
Continuous efforts are being made to strengthen basic facilities in villages and accelerate development works.
Rupnagar, October 29: Advocate Dinesh Chadha, MLA of Rupnagar assembly constituency, today presented cheques to various Gram Panchayats of Rupnagar block at BDPO office Rupnagar for village development works. The aim of this initiative is to further improve basic facilities in villages, conduct development works as per the local needs of the people and ensure all-round development of rural areas.
On this occasion, MLA Advocate Dinesh Chadha said that the development of villages is among the priorities of the government and continuous efforts are being made to provide necessary facilities in rural areas. He said that it is very important to carry out development works keeping in mind the real needs of the villages so that people can get better facilities in their own villages.
The cheques given to various Gram Panchayats will help in taking up construction and improvement of streets, drains and drainage systems, drinking water facilities, street lights and other necessary basic development works in the villages. The completion of these works will help in improving the sanitation system in the villages, making the daily life of the people easier and strengthening the rural infrastructure.
MLA Chadha said that active participation of Gram Panchayats and people is very important for the progress of villages. He said that development works should be taken forward on the basis of people’s needs and priorities so that maximum people can be benefited by making proper use of available resources.
He appealed to the Panchayat representatives to carry out development works with full responsibility, transparency and quality, so that the people of the villages can get direct benefits from them.
MLA Advocate Dinesh Chadha said that efforts will continue to further accelerate the pace of development in the villages of Rupnagar constituency and fulfill the legitimate needs of the people. He said that the all-round development of villages is the foundation of a prosperous and well-off rural Punjab.
