Training provided to concerned officers and employees for smooth conduct of census work
Rupnagar, September 18 : With a view to conducting the Census-2027 work in a smooth, transparent and effective manner, a two-day Phase-2 training was conducted in Rupnagar district on 17 and 18 September 2026. This training was given by the Coordinator for District Rupnagar appointed by the Director Census Work, Punjab, Shri Satya Narayan, Senior Research Officer Shri Radhe Raman and Master Trainer S. Satnam Singh.
All Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) of the district, Deputy Economic and Statistical Advisor-cum-Additional Census Officer Shri Arun Kumar, all Tehsildars-cum-Census Charge Officers, Task Officers-cum-Census Charge Officers of Municipal Councils/Nagar Panchayats, Technical Assistants and Census Clerks appointed for the work of Census-2027 participated in this training.
During the training, detailed information was given about various tasks, procedures and technical aspects related to Phase-2 of Census-2027. Necessary guidelines were also given to the concerned officers and employees to complete the census work in a timely and smooth manner as per the prescribed instructions and standards.
The training was presided over by Principal Census Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Shri Aditya Dechalwal and Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Rupnagar Dr. Akshita Gupta. They instructed all the officers and employees to carry out the important task of Census-2027 with full responsibility, coordination and seriousness.
