Inspects Various Hospital Departments and Interacts with Patients to Assess Healthcare Facilities

Rupnagar/Sri Chamkaur Sahib, September 17: Civil Surgeon Rupnagar Dr. Vivek Kataria visited the Sub-Divisional Hospital (SDH), Sri Chamkaur Sahib, today and conducted a detailed inspection of various departments to review the healthcare services and functioning of the hospital.

During the visit, Dr. Vivek Kataria inspected the Emergency Department, OPD, Minor Operation Theatre, ICTC, Operation Theatre, Labour Room, Laboratory, SNCU, General Ward, X-Ray Department and Office Branch, besides other sections of the hospital.

The Civil Surgeon reviewed the attendance of staff, healthcare facilities being provided to patients, cleanliness arrangements, availability of medical equipment and the day-to-day functioning of different departments. He directed all officers and employees of the hospital to perform their duties with dedication, responsibility and a sense of commitment.

Dr. Vivek Kataria said that patients should not face any inconvenience and that timely healthcare services should be ensured for every patient according to their needs. He also instructed the hospital staff to treat patients and their family members with courtesy, respect and empathy.

During the visit, the Civil Surgeon also interacted with patients admitted to different wards and enquired about their health and treatment. He sought feedback from patients regarding the treatment process, availability of medicines and the healthcare facilities being provided by the hospital.

Dr. Kataria listened carefully to the concerns and requirements of patients and directed the hospital staff to ensure that necessary facilities and services are provided to them without delay.

The Civil Surgeon also issued necessary directions to make the overall functioning of the hospital more systematic, effective and patient-centred. He said that providing quality healthcare services to every patient visiting government health institutions remains a major priority of the Health Department.

He further emphasised that regular monitoring of healthcare institutions is important to ensure that patients receive services in a timely and satisfactory manner and that hospital staff maintain the required standards of professional conduct and patient care.

Senior Medical Officer Dr. Gobind Tandon, Gynaecologist Dr. K.D. Bains, Orthopaedic Specialist Dr. Suraj, Dr. Sachin Kumar, Deputy Mass Media and Information Officer Ravinder Singh, Steno Surinderpal Singh, Steno Harjinder Singh, BEE Harwinder Singh, Nursing Sister Charanjit Kaur, Facility Manager Satwinder Singh, along with other hospital staff, were present during the inspection.
