51 units of blood collected by organizing a blood donation camp at Government College Ropar Roopnagar, September 25: A blood donation camp was organized at Government College Ropar under the patronage of Principal Gunjit Kaur by the Red Ribbon Club and National Service Scheme Unit in collaboration with Rotary Club Roopnagar. The main objective of this camp was to make students and the general public aware of the importance of blood donation and also to promote social responsibility, community cooperation, family values ​​and the spirit of service. During the camp, teachers, non-teaching staff and students of the college participated enthusiastically. A total of 51 units of blood were collected on this occasion. The volunteers of the Red Ribbon Club played an active role in the preparations, management of the camp and creating awareness about blood donation. Their hard work, discipline and team spirit contributed significantly in making the camp a success. During this, the donors were informed about the importance of blood donation and were honored with certificates and medals. On this occasion, messages like 'Blood Donation—Maha Donation' and 'Your One Unit of Blood Can Save Someone's Life' were used to motivate people for voluntary and regular blood donation. On this occasion, Dr. Anu Sharma, the coordinator of the Red Ribbon Club under Kundan Cup, was honored with the Best Administrator Award for the successful organization of the camp, dedicated services, effective leadership and special contribution. Prof. Gurpreet Kaur, a member of the Red Ribbon Club, also played a commendable role in organizing the camp. The event appreciated the contributions made by the Rotary Club members, the entire college staff, donors and volunteers and thanked them. This camp further strengthened the spirit of cooperation between Government College Ropar and Rotary Club Rupnagar and also encouraged commitment towards social service and welfare of humanity among the youth.
