The No Jumper podcaster and rapper became known through YouTube videos, music, and podcast appearances. Maurice Shelmon, better known online as Ant Jefe, was reportedly arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department on May 19 in connection with a felony murder case. According to TMZ, Shelmon was taken into custody by the LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division, and his bail was set at $1 million. The report quickly spread online because Ant Jefe had become a familiar face through his podcast appearances and YouTube content over the past few years. The arrest also surprised followers of the No Jumper podcast, where Ant Jefe appeared regularly. Along with podcasting, Shelmon built an audience through reaction videos, music releases, and interviews on social media. So, if you look as far as the profile, or when my channel was created, it was created in 2021 by my nephew.” He continued by explaining that he planned to focus on music after leaving federal prison. “I already knew when I got out, at the feds, I was gonna be on some music,” he said during the interview. Ant Jefe also shared that he did not begin actively using the channel until 2023, when he uploaded his first music video called “Unruly.” From there, his online audience started growing through music and podcast appearances. After news of the arrest became public, No Jumper hosts reacted during a livestream covered by USA Today. One host, Mooseman, said, “He’s like, Mr. I’m just a podcaster, YouTuber, I’m big chilling.
