From October 01, army trained officers and sports coaches will prepare the youth as per the guidelines set by the army in 3 centers of the district
Rupnagar, September 23: Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Mr. Varjit Walia informed that from October 1, professional coaches will provide free physical training to the youth for army recruitment in 3 centers of the district. He said that with this special initiative, 1509 candidates who have passed the written exam for army recruitment in Rupnagar district will get a golden opportunity to get physical training.
He further informed that 3 free physical training centers have been opened in the district for army recruitment under which centers have been established at Government College Rupnagar in Rupnagar, Khalsa College in Sri Anandpur Sahib and C-Pite Camp (Sivalik College) in Nangal.
The Deputy Commissioner said that training on physical training will be given in these centers from 1st October 2025 from 7:00 am to 9:00 am (2 hours daily). Training in these centers will continue till 31st October.
He said that candidates interested in training from blocks Rupnagar, Morinda and Sri Chamkaur Sahib can contact helpline number 01881-222104 to get training at Government College, Rupnagar. Candidates interested in blocks Sri Anandpur Sahib and Nurpur Bedi can contact helpline number: 8360401372 for training at Khalsa College, Sri Anandpur Sahib and candidates interested in block Nangal can contact helpline number 9041558978 of C.Pite Center at Nangar.
The Deputy Commissioner said that registration and training will start in all the training centers from 1st October. Candidates wishing to undergo training can reach the concerned center on October 1.
