Rupnagar, September 23: In order to implement the “War Against Drugs” campaign being run by the Punjab government at the ground level, the District Rupnagar Police is continuously taking action against drug dealers.
Giving information in this regard, Senior Superintendent of Police Rupnagar S. Gulneet Singh Khurana said that under the “War Against Drugs” campaign being run by the Rupnagar Police against drug smugglers and anti-social elements, the District Police has seized NDPS In various cases of the Act, 2 drug addicts were arrested and one person was arrested and more than 9 grams of narcotic powder was recovered from him. Apart from this, the district police conducted special checks at various places in the district to maintain law and order and crack down on bad elements.

Apart from this, police station Sri Chamkor Sahib arrested drug addict Gursagar Singh, resident of Pandit Mohalla Ward No. 6 Sri Chamkaur Sahib and police station Sadar Morinda arrested drug addict Manpreet Singh alias Manna, resident of village Dumna Morinda and admitted him to a drug de-addiction center.
S. Gulneet Singh Khurana further informed that special blockades were made at various places in the district to maintain law and order and to crack down on bad elements. During which suspicious persons and vehicles were checked.
