Rupnagar, October 1: Under the Prime Minister TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Civil Hospital Rupnagar today distributed ration kits to TB patients at the TB clinic of the hospital Rupnagar under the guidance of Civil Surgeon Rupnagar Dr. Sukhwinderjit Singh.
In this regard, Senior Medical Officer Civil Hospital Rupnagar Dr. Simranjit Kaur shared more information and said that every month, with the support of Nikshe Mitran, nutritionally rich ration kits are being provided to the registered patients in the district. This kit contains essential ration for a month such as flour, lentils, oil, milk powder, rice, soybeans, protein powder etc., due to which the TB patient will now be provided with food along with medicine and with the help of this ration, he will be helped to control his disease quickly.
District Tuberculosis Officer Dr Roohpreet Kaur and Dr Doria Bagga said that ration kits have been distributed to 25 patients at the TB clinic of the Civil Hospital today. They appealed that as many people as possible should come forward to become Nikshe Mitra so that maximum TB sufferers can be provided with free monthly ration.
Members of Inner Wheel Club, Rotary Club members, Sujan Singh and Lakhvir Singh Nische Mitra and staff of the TB unit were present on this occasion.
