Sri Anandpur Sahib 09 November : For the first time, free tent city facility is being provided for the convenience of devotees arriving from all over the country and abroad to pay homage to Guru Nagri Sri Anandpur Sahib on the occasion of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Guru of India, Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. All modern facilities should be available in this tent city.
Mr. Harjot Singh Bains, Cabinet Minister for Education and Information and Public Relations Department and MLA Sri Anandpur Sahib, after reviewing the ongoing work on this tent city on a war footing, has directed to speed up this work further. The booking of this tent city will be online and every family will be able to book this tent city for two days. This tent city is being built in three parts, the construction of a tent city is underway at Chandesar in 67 acres, while a tent city is being built in Jhinjri in 7 acres and Power Com Ground in 6 acres.
The first tent city will be built in Chandesar in 67 acres, which will have 434 rooms, 16 beds will be installed in each room, similarly 264 more rooms will be prepared at the same place, in which 4-4 beds will be installed, apart from this, other arrangements will also be made for the stay of the pilgrims, the pilgrims will get bathroom facilities in the tent city, smooth arrangements for uninterrupted power supply and water supply and drainage have been made, similarly a tent city will be built in Jhinjri in 7 acres, in which 66 rooms are being built, where 16 beds are being installed in each room and 35 more rooms will be prepared and 4-4 beds will be installed in each room. Similarly, the Punjab government will build 9 dormitories of 16 beds in 6 acres of PSPCL ground, 90 rooms are being specially prepared for the congregation coming from other states, where all the necessary amenities will be available for the devotees. The Punjab government is preparing all these tent cities for the convenience of 15 thousand devotees. This time, a large number of devotees from the country and abroad are likely to reach Sri Anandpur Sahib on the occasion of the martyrdom celebrations, large Nagar Kirtans from different areas are also coming to Sri Anandpur Sahib.
S. Harjot Singh Bains is continuously visiting the tent city to keep it safe and to ensure the necessary amenities in this tent city. 500 e-rickshaws and golf carts will be deployed for the devotees staying in this tent city, which will ensure that the devotees are taken to the place of the martyrdom celebrations and brought back. Tent City Chandesar Chak has been dedicated to Mata Nanaki Ji, Jhinjri Tent City to Bhai Mati Das Ji and PSPCL Ground Tent City to Bhai Sati Das Ji.
