24 candidates shortlisted in placement camp at District Employment and Commerce Bureau, Rupnagar
Rupnagar, October 03: To provide employment to the unemployed youth of the district, District Employment and Commerce Bureau, Rupnagar is organizing weekly placement camps under the guidance of Virjit Walia, IAS, Deputy Commissioner -cum- Chairman, DBEE and Smt. Chandrajyoti Singh, IAS Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development)-cum-CEO DBEE Rupnagar. Under this series, a placement-cum-self-employment camp was organized today at District Employment and Commerce Bureau, Rupnagar.
Giving information in this regard, Prabhjot Singh, District Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Officer, Rupnagar said that in this camp, Terraces Technologies Limited (Punjab Sewa Kendra) Company was recruiting 15 to 20 posts of Data Entry Operator for a 120-hour computer course including graduation in which English typing speed of 30 words per minute was sought. He said that the age of female candidates was fixed from 21 to 32 years and for male candidates from 21 to 35 years. 87 candidates participated in this camp and 24 candidates were shortlisted by the company for the next round of examination. He said that the selected candidates will get 14,732/- CTC salary. The job location is District Rupnagar (Ropar/ Morinda/ Chamkaur Sahib/ Shri Anandpur Sahib/ Nurpurbedi/ Nangal).
On this occasion, Meenakshi Bedi, Placement Officer, said that in this camp, the officials of District Industries Center, Rupnagar provided detailed information to the youth participating in the camp about the low interest rates and loans available under the Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Shirjan Yojana and motivated the youth to start their own business.
