Rupnagar, September 19 – A district level workshop was successfully organized under the Green School Program under Environmental Education at DAV Public School, Rupnagar today. Teachers from various schools of the district participated in this workshop.
On this occasion, District Education Officer Mr. Prem Kumar Mittal specially attended and said that the Green School Program is an important step to make schools responsible towards environmental conservation.
District Coordinator Environmental Education Sukhjit Singh Kaith said that this workshop has been organized to make schools eco-friendly and motivate students.
Resource Person Jagjit Singh gave detailed information about the registration, data upload and monitoring process of schools on the “Code Mitra” digital platform.
Resource Persons Bhupinder Singh and Atul Duvedi shared important information about environmental awareness, school audit and mission life activities.
Teachers who contributed by planting more than 100 saplings under the “Ek Peer Maa De Naam” campaign were felicitated on this occasion.
For the smooth management of the workshop, duties were assigned to various teachers, such as Vivek and Kuljinder Kaur for registration, Sukhwinder Singh and Om Prakash for management/refreshments, Charanjit Banga and Jagjit Singh for stage management, Kulwant Singh for technical assistance, Sukhjit Singh for certificates.
With the active participation of teachers from all blocks of the district, this workshop was very effective and successful.
