Civil Surgeon Dr. Vivek Kataria appealed to the people to check their homes, offices, shops and surrounding areas every Friday. Standing water in coolers, pots, water containers, roofs, old tyres and other places should be emptied immediately and water containers should be kept covered. He said that water should not be allowed to stagnate around houses and potential sources of dengue mosquito breeding should be eliminated regularly.
He also appealed to the people to fully cooperate with the health workers during the survey and monitoring. If any person experiences symptoms related to dengue, such as high fever, headache, pain behind the eyes, body aches, etc., then they should contact the nearest health facility without delay.
