SDM and DSP visited the potential flood-affected areas, held discussions with the people
Sri Anandpur Sahib 27 August : Sub-Divisional Magistrate Jaspreet Singh and DSP Ajay Singh today visited the villages of Chandpur and Gajpur of the sub-division and took stock of the possible flood situation. During this, they spoke to the people and assured that the administration has made all kinds of smooth arrangements.
While visiting Chandpur and Gajpur villages today, they spoke to the people of those villages and told them that the administration is constantly being vigilant in view of the possible danger of floods. The officials are continuously inspecting the flood-affected areas for the safety of people’s lives and property.
Keeping in view the water level in Bhakra Dam and the quantity of water being released in the canals as well as the excess water coming into the Swan river due to heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, the situation of the villages bordering the Sutlej river is being monitored. He said that the administration is taking every necessary step to ensure the safety of life and property of the residents of the nearby areas.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Jaspreet Singh and DSP Ajay Singh are personally visiting the villages and coordinating with the people and ensuring necessary security arrangements.
