Harvesting and filling of turmeric diseased crops should be done separately
Sri Chamkaur Sahib, October 1: SDM Sri Chamkaur Sahib Amrik Singh Sidhu, PCS, visited the fields affected by turmeric disease along with Tehsildar, Sri Chamkaur Sahib and Agricultural Development Officer, Sri Chamkaur Sahib.
The Agriculture Department suggested to the farmers that harvesting and filling of turmeric diseased crops should be done separately. Apart from this, the crops affected by this disease should be piled up separately in the mandis, so that the good crop is not damaged due to it.
In this regard, SDM Sri Chamkaur Sahib has also issued instructions to the Secretary, Market Committee Sri Chamkaur Sahib. Agricultural Development Officer, Sri Chamkaur Sahib, Tehsildar, Sri Chamkaur Sahib and farmers were present on the occasion.
