National Technology Day 2026: Punjab Schools to Host State-Level Technology & Cyber Awareness Quiz

Special activities on Technology, Cyber Safety and AI Awareness to be organized in schools under the directions of Director SCERT Punjab

Punjab, May 9: Director, SCERT Punjab, special activities will be organized in schools across Punjab on the occasion of “National Technology Day 2026” to be celebrated on May 11, 2026. On this occasion, a state-level “Technology and Cyber Awareness Quiz” will also be conducted for students with the objective of promoting digital literacy, cyber security awareness, and interest in technology among them.

State Project Coordinator (Computer) Yunes Khokhar informed that separate Google Form quiz links will be sent to every district for the state-level “Technology and Cyber Awareness Quiz” being organized on the occasion of National Technology Day 2026. He said that District Resource Persons Computer (DRPs Computer) will ensure that the quiz reaches schools in their respective districts and that the entire process is implemented smoothly as per departmental guidelines.

He further stated that schools have also been advised to use the hashtag #PunjabSchoolsCelebrateTech while sharing activities on social media so that the initiatives and participation of students can reach a wider audience.

Yunes Khokhar also informed that the quiz links will be shared with all government, recognized, aided, and private schools across Punjab to ensure maximum participation of students. He added that the entire process will be carried out efficiently according to the guidelines issued by the department.

Under the directions of the Director, SCERT Punjab, every school will organize special Morning Assembly activities including National Technology Day messages, technology awareness speeches, cyber safety tips, AI awareness discussions, and student presentations. Schools will also conduct quiz competitions, cyber safety awareness programs, technology exhibitions, poster-making competitions, expert talks, digital presentations, and a special Technology Safety Pledge Ceremony. During these activities, students will be educated about the safe and responsible use of technology.

The initiative aims to enhance students’ awareness about technology, innovation, cyber security, artificial intelligence (AI), and India’s achievements in science and space sectors. The Director, SCERT Punjab, has appealed to all districts and schools to ensure maximum participation of students in these activities.
