Rupnagar, September 15: Along with the Red Ribbon Day Quiz under AEP and NPEP programs, role play, folk dance and poetry competitions under the National Population Education Program were also successfully organized with great enthusiasm in Government Senior Secondary School Ghanauli (Rupnagar) today.
Giving information in this regard, Dishant Mehta, the media in-charge of this program, said that it was organized under the guidance of District Education Officer Shri Prem Kumar Mittal and Deputy District Education Officer Shri Inderjit Singh, under the good management of Principal Madam Indu and Shri Tejinder Singh Baz.
He said in his address that such programs not only teach students about competitions, but also teach social awareness, healthy lifestyle and leadership.
The results of the folk dance competition were as follows, first place School of Eminence Kiratpur Sahib, second place Government Senior Secondary School Phulpur Grewal and third place Government Senior Secondary School Boor Majra.
Results of the National Role Play Competition – First place School of Eminence Morinda, second place Smart School Nangal and third place Government Senior Secondary School Kishanpura.
Poetry Competition (Middle Category) – First place Mandeep Kaur, second place Prabhjot Kaur and third place Prabhjot Singh. In the Senior Secondary Wing Poetry Competition, first place Harshit Dogra, second place Simranjit Kaur and third place Indu.
During these competitions, the role of the judging panel was played by Avtar Krishan, Simranjit Singh, Eddie Mishal and Tejinder Singh Baz. Stage anchoring was done by Rajesh Kumar (Music Teacher).
The aim of this program is to instill not only a sense of competition but also awareness and healthy competitive energy among students, so that children can be better prepared for their future.”
