National Overseas Scholarship Scheme is being run for students belonging to Scheduled Castes and other eligible categories – Additional Deputy Commissioner

Rupnagar, October 03: The government is running the National Overseas Scholarship Scheme for students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Landless Agricultural Labourers and Traditional Artisans.
Giving this information, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Rupnagar Pooja Sial Grewal said that this scheme has been established to help students in pursuing higher education, especially for those belonging to socially and economically backward classes.
She said that through this scheme, financial assistance is provided to eligible students to pursue Masters level and Ph.D. courses in foreign universities.
The process for the second phase of the scholarship will be open till October 24, 2025. Meanwhile, eligible candidates can submit their applications through the NOS portal (https://nosmsje.gov.in). Students will also be given an opportunity to correct their applications from 26th October to 29th October 2025. Candidates can visit the portal https://nosmsje.gov.in for more information and documents.
