Providing a strong road network for smooth traffic is our responsibility – Cabinet Minister
Sri Anandpur Sahib 25 September : S. Harjot Singh Bains, Cabinet Minister, Education and Information and Public Relations Department, said that the tender for the National Highway was opened on September 11. Since only one bid was received for the tender, this matter has been sent to the higher authorities. He said that we are fully hopeful that the approval will be received soon and the work of the National Highway Road will start.
The Cabinet Minister said that usually three bidders are required in the tender process, but this time since there is only one bid, some procedures are required. He said that the Bhagwant Mann government is fully committed to providing safe road facilities to the people of the city and villages. The administration and the department team are fully monitoring this process.
S. Bains said that it is hoped that the work on the National Highway will start in the next one or two days, which will provide relief to the people of the area. The Cabinet Minister said that the entire process for the main road, which is the National Highway, will be completed soon and a strong road network will be available for smooth traffic in this area.
