MLA Dinesh Chadha inaugurated various development works at Badi Railon
Rupnagar, April 19: Rupnagar MLA Dinesh Chadha inaugurated various projects at village Badi Railon today as part of a series of ongoing development works in the constituency.
On this occasion, he dedicated to the people the drainage pond and the boundary wall of the drinking water tank, which were constructed at a cost of about Rs. 23 lakhs, keeping in mind the main needs of the village.
During the inauguration ceremony, MLA Chadha said that the previous governments never paid attention to the growing population of villages and planned development according to the changing structure. Due to this, people had to struggle even for their small demands.
He said that now under the leadership of Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is ensuring planned and continuous development at the village level.
He further said that the construction of a drainage pond will provide a permanent solution to the long-standing problem of dirty water in the village, which will also improve the sanitation and health conditions. Along with this, the construction of a boundary wall to protect the drinking water tank will maintain the quality of water and the villagers will get clean water.
MLA Chadha assured that the remaining demands of the village will also be fulfilled soon on priority basis. During the function, the villagers expressed their gratitude while appreciating the development works being done by the government.
On this occasion, Block Samiti Chairman Malkit Singh Bhangu, Block President Parminder Singh Bala, Samiti Member Amritpal Singh Pappi, Sarpanch Usha Rani, BDPO Amit Kumar, Panchayat Member Sandeep Kaur, Shanti Devi, Gurdeep Singh, Harvinder Singh, Mangat Ram and other villagers were present.
