Sri Anandpur Sahib, April 15: In a major step towards women empowerment and social welfare, the Punjab Government has launched the registration process for the “Mavan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana” starting today from the Sri Anandpur Sahib constituency. The initiative has been rolled out simultaneously in nine constituencies across the state as part of a pilot phase.

Addressing the development, Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains stated that the scheme reflects the government’s strong commitment to fulfilling its promises. He emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government has not only delivered on its assurances but has gone beyond expectations to win the trust of the people.

The Minister informed that the Department of Social Security, Women and Child Development has already trained teams for smooth execution of the scheme. Trained personnel have been deployed across all booths, blocks, and Anganwadi centres in Sri Anandpur Sahib to facilitate on-the-spot registrations.

To further strengthen the process, specially trained teams from Chandigarh have also been stationed at key locations to assist local staff and ensure efficient implementation. In addition, workers of the Aam Aadmi Party are actively participating by reaching out to households, spreading awareness, and encouraging eligible families to register for the scheme.

During the registration drive held at Agampur, women participants expressed appreciation for the Punjab Government’s people-centric policies. They lauded the leadership of Bhagwant Singh Mann, stating that the government has proven its credibility by matching its words with action. Many said their trust in the government has strengthened due to its commitment to public welfare.

Beneficiaries also expressed hope that the “Mavan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana” will not only provide financial assistance but also enhance respect, security, and dignity for women in society. The scheme is expected to play a crucial role in promoting self-reliance and improving the overall quality of life for mothers and daughters across Punjab.

Reiterating the government’s vision, Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that more such welfare initiatives will be introduced in the future to uplift every section of society and take Punjab to new heights of progress.
