Rupnagar, 24th November: Inter Regional Youth and People’s Fair of Punjabi University, Patiala. Government College Ropar has got the honor of winning the overall theater trophy in 2017.
College Principal Jitinder Singh Gill represented the students in the Inter Regional Youth and People’s Fair. Appreciated the presentations made.
He congratulated Gold Medal and Silver Medal winning students Binai Kumar, Rajvinder Sohal, Karanraj, Gurmanpreet Singh, Simarjot Singh, Jasmine, Gopika, Harjeet Singh, Taranpreet, Paramveer Singh, Aditi Sharma, Prabhleen Kaur, Visha and Cultural Coordinator Dr. Nirmal Singh Brar, Co-Coordinator Prof. Arvindar Kaur, Dr. Jatinder Kumar, convener of oratory, Prof. Sangeeta Madan, convener of the costume exhibition, Prof. Congratulations to Ravneet Kaur.
Cultural Coordinator Dr. Nirmal Singh Barad said that the college participated in 22 items in the Inter Regional Youth and People’s Fair. The college stood first in skit and traditional costume exhibition, first in street theatre, bhand and oratory. Got second place. He told that the artist students Dr. Surjeet Singh Sethi has brought laurels to the college by winning the Memorial Overall Theater Trophy.
