Gatke players of Rupnagar performed brilliantly in the National Pythian Games

Roopnagar, 13 November: Gatke during the 2nd National Pythian Games held at the City University Campus, Bangalore Gatka Association related to District Rupnagar while playing Punjab State Team in the competitions. The players performed brilliantly and won medals which brought name to themselves, their parents and the district. It has brought light and has also raised the name of Punjab state.
In the boys’ athletics competition, Jaskaran Singh won the gold medal in the individual free shot, while in the free shot individual, Jaskaran Singh won the gold medal. Jaskaran Singh and Gurjinder Singh won silver medals in small team category. Apart from this, Manpreet Singh won the bronze medal in the free shot team.
In the girls’ competition, Pavneet Kaur made everyone proud by winning the gold medal in single shot individual. Increased. Pavneet Kaur and Damanpreet Kaur won silver medal in single team category.
District Gatka Association President Bibi Manjeet Kaur congratulated the players and their coach Sahibhan. He congratulated me heartily and said that these children will bring glory to the district with their hard work in the future also. Will remain and we are proud of these players.
On this occasion, the district organization honored the founder of Modern Pythian Cultural Games and Pythian Council of Chairman of India Mr. Bajinder Goyal and President of National Gatka Association of India Mr. Special thanks were given to Harjeet Singh Grewal who gave Gatka players their recognition at the national level. Provided a big platform to showcase one’s ability.
On this occasion Bibi Manjit Kaur, Gurpreet Singh Bhauwal, Gurvinder Singh Ghanoli, Jaspreet Singh, Gurvinder Singh Rupnagar and other distinguished gentlemen were also present.
